We have developed spring suspension upgrades that transfer the weight from the existing axle rubbers to springs.
This makes a huge difference in the caravan's towing ability. It significantly raises the riding height and absorbs the road shock through both the spring and the rubber.
The new springs will transfer most of the vehicle's weight via the springs to the chassis, eliminating rubber fatigue in transit.
They will also reduce rubber deformation when the caravan is stationary for months without the support of its corner steadies. The full weight of the caravan on the axle rubbers will eventually squash them and make them less effective.

The spring upgrade can be fitted to old or new caravans.
Older caravans:
Before a spring upgrade is installed on an older caravan, the condition of the existing axle must be assessed for rubber fatigue. If they're damaged or compressed, we'll replace them. Just like any vehicle part, maintenance is essential for rubber inserts. We do a structural inspection and identify any underlying issues caused by towing with limited suspension. Once we know the caravan is safe, we will replace the old rubbers with new ones and improve the axle by adding an aftermarket springs kit suitable for your particular model.
