Powrtouch Double Axle Motor Mover (auto)
Ideal for tandem axle lightweight European or British caravans, the motors engage with the tyres of the caravan and push it forward or backward; the motors will turn either way, enabling the user to accurately steer the vehicle into very tight spaces
This motor mover can be engaged to the wheels with the remote, so there is no need to get any tools out to lock the motors to the wheels. The product is supplied with a tool to engage and disengage the motors from the wheels manually
The units will fit on most standard ALKO chassis using the parts provided in the box.
The motor movers are lightweight for their strength, weighing approximately 35Kg
They work well on a balanced caravan with not too much weight on the front tow hitch; a heavy hitch tends to dig into the ground as the caravan swings the front around, especially if the ground is soft or uneven
Traditionally, motor movers have been a little problematic when fitted to tandem-axle caravans, but the latest Power Touch movers now have a pulse-and-lock feature that automatically activates or locks certain wheels during a turn. Somehow, this feature has greatly improved the steering ability of a tandem caravan
