Transform your old caravan with this bolt-on galvanized leaf suspension axle kit. It replaces the standard ALKO suspension with a more robust trailer leaf-spring suspension that absorbs road impacts in a traditional way.
Forget about the condition of your original ALKO axle; this unit will replace the old and bolt onto the existing caravan chassis rails.
Ideal for older caravans, it can be fitted as a DIY unit, though we recommend it be fitted by a professional, as you will be towing it at speed on the road.
If in doubt, our technicians can inspect your suspension for hidden wear, size, damage, etc., and advise on the best approach in your particular case.
The leaf spring suspension kit is sold complete with all-new springs, new hubs, brake shoes, bearings, and axle tube. The whole kit is bolted to a solid galvanised steel chassis frame, which is already attached directly to the existing caravan.
After bolting it on, just reconnect your existing handbrake cables to the new hubs, and you are ready to roll. From now on, towing will be a breeze; the caravan will absorb road shock better and sit much higher off the road, reducing the risk of rear-end damage.

Things to be aware of!!
If your caravan has been towed for some time with a poor suspension, you may have already damaged the existing structure.
By structure, we include the interior cabinets and furniture, which are part of its structure.
The furniture consists of floor-to-ceiling bulkheads. Attached to cabinets that sit on the chassis rails, this all forms part of the overall caravan structure.
Please ensure that the interior components are well connected to the walls, floor and ceiling. Otherwise, the vehicle will continue to deteriorate even after the suspension has been replaced.
Do not try to reattach the bulkheads and cabinets if the caravan is not fully supported in its original factory state on level ground with the suspension in place.
