Air Suspension Kit for Motorhome ALKO Torsion Axle for 290mm x 310mm clearance
The ALKO chassis on these Motorhome Suspension Air Bags provides a smoother ride for customers. Motorhomes that do not use the factory chassis but instead use a galvanised press-steel framework, similar to the chassis of a European caravan.

A torsion-bar suspension system, like a trailer, is used on these chassis.
New Zealand's rough roads can make the ride challenging with a torsion bar suspension. Adding airbag suspension can significantly improve the ride, as the road shock is absorbed by a combination of airbag and factory torsion bar suspension
This kit is suitable for a motorhome with ALKO suspension, a 290mm and 310mm designed ride height clearance, and a 140mm axle tub protruding between the wheel and the chassis rails
The kit contains the following:
- Installation instructions
- 2 x Airbags
- 1 x Airline kit - airline to required length and 2 x pushlock inflation valves
- All bracketry and fasteners required to install the kit
If we are fitting the system, as an extra, our technicians can fit an onboard compressor that inflates the airbags as required, depending on the road conditions. A system like this can be made to operate from your vehicle's dashboard while you are driving.
In New Zealand, adding airbags to a vehicle will require certification after installation, whether the vehicle is on a WOF or a COF
