Get this New Zealand-made Motorhome roof rack (lightweight version) for long-wheelbase panel vans or motorhomes, including Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato, and Renault Master. With this roof rack, you'll have convenient storage space for your kayaks, canoes, surfboards, paddleboards, fishing gear, or rowing boats.
This version is designed for vehicles without a roof-mount awning; if you already have a van with one, you should buy the VRV-MercRRA.

Mercedes and VW Crafters had the same roof shape until 2017, when VW began manufacturing bodies at its factory and made minor changes that are not immediately noticeable. VW vehicles built after 2017 have a curved roof and require a different solution. If in doubt, contact us.

Base Kit Plus Extension
- Kit contains the following:
- 2 x standard right and left-hand side rails 2355mm long
- 2 x short right and left-hand extensions 1400mm long
- 3 x heavy-duty cross rails
- 2 x Sloping end caps for the front
- 2 x spoiler-shaped undercut rear caps
- 1 x Stainless steel assembly hardware kit
- Total length of rack 2355mm + 1400mm = 3755mm plus the end caps
- Height from the roof: 120mm

Fitting method
Our roof racks spread the load over the entire length of the side rails, which are bonded in situ using high-quality modern urethane products similar to those used to construct motorhome bodies.
Stainless steel tech screws are sometimes used, but only to anchor the roof rack in place while the urethane sets.
Our roof racks are popular with motorhomes or camper vans constructed within standard commercial panel vans. We use the same mounting method on the roofs of these vans, with excellent results.
Our racks can carry heavy loads. As a bonus, we can fit a wall-mount awning to the side of the roof rack rail.
