Why buy this bracket?

These awning brackets were designed so that you can fit a wall-mounted awning to the side of older-type vans that still have roof gutters, such as the Coasters, Hi-aces and older Nissan Civilians. Most of the late-model vans no longer have traditional gutters.

By using these brackets, you can avoid drilling holes in the van wall to fit the factory awning brackets. This is usually fiddly because of the overhead cabinets and wall liners, and the vans often have a slight curve, which makes fitting hard.

Other benefits

Another issue with fitting factory awning brackets through the van wall is that sliding and/or open doors interfere with rolling out the awning. Our brackets allow the awning to be mounted slightly higher, which clears the doors and solves the problem of the van's curve horizontally and vertically. 

Contents

The kit contains 3 highly adjustable brackets that clamp onto the gutter. This acts as the main anchor and support for the new awning you will be fitting.

The brackets are designed to bolt onto the heavy-duty mounting brackets supplied by awning manufacturers such as Thule and Fiamma.

The brackets come with the following contents

  • 3x Gutter mount body,
  • 3x Gutter mount perforated brace
  • 3x Gutter mount clamp
  • 6x M6 stainless flange nuts
  • 6x M6x25 stainless button head machine screw
  • 6x M6x16 stainless bolts and nylock nuts
  • 18x m6x12.5x1.6 Stainless washers
  • 6x rubber strips 200mm long
  • 12x 10g x 5/8 410 Pan SQ Self Driller Stainless
